Dave Wheeler Announces for Executive Council

David Wheeler, former State Senator and Executive Councilor, announced today that he would run for Executive Council District 5. Currently, the district is held by Democrat Debora Pignatelli. Wheeler, a Republican with extensive family roots throughout the region, said he was running for the seat because "my opponent has failed to properly represent the district. She tends to avoid straight talk, disguising her views in such a way that voters are really not sure what she supports or opposes."

"Pignatelli has not been effective in representing the district. I know that I can provide better representation for the entire District 5 area." Wheeler noted that he was concerned about the future of southern New Hampshire, especially with the increasing growth brought on by people moving into the area. "We need to aggressively develop a balanced economic approach to the region. For example, District 5 needs someone committed to the Ten Year Highway plan."

Wheeler highlighted his commitment to long range economic growth, balanced with the needs of property owners in the area. "I'm a land owner, farmer, and small businessman. I know what it's like to work hard, pay taxes, and strive to better the community where I live."

Wheeler is the owner of Miracle Acres Farm in Milford, NH.
